Hi I’m Lisa, a half-Japanese, half-Welsh Londoner, mum of one and freelance graphic designer.
I’m into music, cooking, baking, eating, cats, drawing, gardening, tea, telly, travelling, photography, charity shops, collecting records and love spending time in Tokyo.

As a school kid I always wanted to be either a fashion or graphic designer and constantly had sketchbooks on the go filling them with drawings of my cat, trainer designs, sports logos, bubble writing or pictures of Madonna.

Not much has changed… but I have fulfilled my childhood dream and I am lucky enough to have gained 17+ years of experience in my career designing stuff for screens and print (although I’m yet to meet Madonna).

I like to think that i’m a thoughtful, empathic and creative designer with an eye for good design and keen attention to detail. My approach is conceptual, multi-disciplinary and holistic, guided by a love of colour, tactility, composition and my inner need to simplify or make sense of things.

Having Japanese roots and being lucky enough to have lived in Tokyo, Japanese design and style is a massive influence on my work. Grounded in simplicity and subtleties, beautifully composed graphic design, bold typography and striking use of symbolism alongside the super cute and imaginative anime.

As a result, I enjoy mixing things up and working with different styles whether it’s fun illustrations or playful identities, grungy collage compositions or custom typography but equally enjoy creating clean, sleek graphic layouts and symbolic logos.

I specialise in branding, art direction and graphic design for a wide range of clients and try to support local community groups, individuals and good causes where I can, like my local pub :)
